National Signature Programs

America250 National Signature Programs present a portfolio of nationwide initiatives that personify America250 themes and establish a broad and inclusive framework for participation in America’s 250th. More than 25 National Signature Programs are planned for activation including the America250 Time Capsule, America250 Awards, and more.

America250 Awards

America250 is teaming up with the NFL for the America250 Awards – a multiyear awards program that recognizes Americans who exemplify the intangible qualities of the American Spirit.

Engagement activities

America250 engagement initiatives make America’s complex, expansive histories — from local to national — accessible and meaningful to all Americans by working collaboratively across communities and with partners to foster communication, teaching, learning, and engagement with our past and our future. America250’s five-year engagement plan includes podcasts, art contests, book clubs, and more.

November Salute 2021

America250’s November Salute 2021 is a digital photo mosaic and art installation depicting WWI hero Sgt. Henry Johnson. Commissioned by America250 and created by The People’s Picture, the installation is on display at the National WWI Museum and Memorial in Kansas City, Mo. It is also available digitally for exploration.
